Is your website optimized for mobile devices?
If not, Google will begin penalizing your search rankings beginning April 21st, 2015.
Google have recently announced major changes to their search algorithms in an effort to reward websites that have been optimized for mobile devices with higher, more visible rankings and penalize those that are not mobile friendly. In their official statement, Google announced that this will have a “significant impact” on search results moving forward, meaning websites that are not mobile compatible or designed to be viewed on multiple devices will be placed lower in the search engine rankings. This could result in a large drop in search traffic and a potential significant loss in sales gained via the web. This announcement follows on the heels of a previous statement issued by Google in November 2014 regarding changes to help users identify mobile friendly websites in search engine results.
